          Betty Jean Warren Bullock, age 87, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 14, 2017, in Tallahassee, FL. She was born on April 13, 1930, to Mary Inez (Oxendine) and Schley J. Warren, Sr., in Greenville, Madison County, Florida. She attended high school in Greenville, Florida, graduated as Valedictorian in 1948, and continued her education at FSU. Betty had a long history of public service. She worked for the Jefferson County Health Department from 1954-1971 and served the City of Monticello as City Clerk and Treasurer from 1977-1996 until her retirement. Her love for the Lord Jesus Christ was evident through her service as the pianist and then as the organist at First Baptist Church in Monticello, FL from 1950-2005, and as pianist at Sharon Community Church in Greenville, FL from 2012-2017. It was also her privilege to play for countless funerals through the years for families.

          Betty married William Wycliffe Bullock on October 30, 1949, and had three sons and one daughter:  William Warren Bullock (Deborah); Wallace Owen Bullock (Diana); Robert Wesley Bullock (Peggye); and Jean Wycliffe Bullock Marsh (Perry), all of Monticello, FL. She had 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren that she dearly loved and counted as treasures. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Ann Wheeler (Eugene) of Keystone Heights, FL; a brother, Alan Wesley Warren of Greenville, FL; three sister-in-laws, Lorraine Warren of Greenville, FL, Ann Bullock Duffack of Monticello, FL, and Marge Masterman of Tallahassee, FL; and several nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Inez and Schley J. Warren; her husband William Wycliffe Bullock; three brothers, Schley J. Warren, Jr., Lowell Thomas Warren, and Michael Eugene Warren; and a sister, Edwina Warren Laney.

          Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 18, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Monticello, FL, with burial at Roseland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the GIST Cancer Research Fund, 55 Saw Mill Road, New City, NY 10956.
