 Mr. John Rogers Winter, age 71, died December 22, 2019 at St. James Health & Rehab near Carrabelle, Florida. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Madison, Florida.

 John was a retired musician. He was an Eagle scout; he graduated from Ocala High School in 1966 and attended Central Florida Junior College. In 1962 at age 13, John participated in the Cross-State Survival Hike with Ross Allen of the Silver Springs Reptile Institute. John's rock and roll band, “The Incidentals” were very popular around central and north Florida in the 1960's and he later went to New York City with a band called “Flow” and released an album.

 John was the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Beggs Jr. of Madison and Christopher Rogers Winter and Mary Carter Winter of Georgia. He was also predeceased by his parents, Dr. Wallace E. Winter and Mrs. Frances Beggs Winter and one sister, Aileen Winter Mostel.

  John is survived by one brother, William Ashley Winter of Madison, Florida, one sister, Barbara Winter Petito, of Lumberville, Pennsylvania, two uncles, T.J. Beggs III (Mary Jane) of Madison and William Turner Beggs (Barbara) of Tallahassee.
